Entrupy, a technology service founded in 2012, uses AI to authenticate luxury goods and sneakers in the resale market.

Their product, which boasts a 99.1 per cent accuracy record in confirming the legitimacy of luxury names like Chanel, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton, is used by hundreds of vintage resellers.

Exclusive to luxury goods resellers, the technology seeks to establish credibility with clients leery of fake items, per Business Insider. Using Entrupy’s hardware device, users may snap detailed shots of objects from different perspectives. The AI then compares these images with a database of real inventories.

Businesses may secure inventory and safeguard supply chains by utilising Entrupy’s scalable artificial intelligence-based product verification solutions. If the product is determined to be real, the manufacturer issues an official certificate for sellers. Although the service is now only available to well-known firms, Business Insider noted that TikTok’s partnership with Entrupy to validate products on its e-commerce platform TikTok Shop sparked increased interest in it. Other AI-powered hardware products, such as the AI pin from Humane.ai and the smart eyewear from Meta, compete with the AI-powered authenticator.
